Disclosure: DealSafe publishes this comparison and is one of the vendors in it. Facts about other vendors come from their own websites and announcements as of October 28, 2026, with sources listed at the end. If something is out of date, write to support@dealsafe.com and we will correct it.

In short: For a single rooftop, independent or franchise, the choice comes down to five things: does it run the Safeguards program or just store policies, does it verify identity on the deal, does it train and log by role, does it keep the evidence file, and what does it cost in writing. Here is each vendor on those five, from their own published material.

Who is in the comparison

Nine vendors a dealer is likely to hear about, grouped by what they are: purpose-built programs (DealSafe), broad suites (ComplyAuto, KPA), attorney-built training and audit (Mosaic, Automotive Compliance Education), transaction tools (700Credit, Dealertrack Compliance, Informativ) and managed IT (Helion). Lenders' portals such as RouteOne offer free OFAC checks and adverse-action generation to their users and are noted at the end.

Vendor by vendor

DealSafe. Three tiers published per rooftop per month: Showroom $399 (the written program, Qualified Individual support, risk assessment, role-based training with logs, vendor register, incident response plan, annual board report), The Desk $699 (adds QR customer intake, per-deal identity verification before funding, Red Flags screening on every deal and a written ITPP, OFAC on demand, credit through the dealer's own 700Credit account, lender packages to DealerTrack and RouteOne with CUDL to follow, PII locked to GM and F&I with every access logged, the Book of Evidence export, audit support and Saturday support) and The Group $999. No setup fee, a 12-month agreement billed monthly, a free gap assessment first. Not a law firm, not an IT provider, not a desking or e-sign tool, not a credit bureau or lender; never connects to the DMS.

ComplyAuto. Dealer-owned suite sold through NADA and state associations, "10,000+ active dealers" per its site. Safeguards: policy builder, guided risk assessment, training, vendor management with e-sign, breach-notification builder, one-click board report, pen testing and phishing simulations. Deal audits via DealCheck Ai at a published $0.10 per custom check; identity verification through Informativ. Pricing otherwise quote only; NADA members offered preferred pricing. Two "$1 million" guarantees are advertised, terms apply.

KPA (Vera Suite). Software plus 150 consultants, founded 1986. Safeguards: ten-step framework, customized policies, board report from the system, vendor contract library, pen tests, phishing simulations, training with completion tracking. Human deal-jacket audits ("57k annual deal jacket audits") and OFAC and Red Flags compliance tracking are described; per-deal identity verification, OFAC and adverse action come through a 700Credit referral partnership. Quote only; contract length not published.

Mosaic Compliance Services. Attorney-built policies, training, audits and a managed cybersecurity service, founded 2006. Published pricing: Training and Policies $400, Administrative Safeguards $250, AuditF&I Pro $300, Complete Compliance Bundle $1,000 per store per month, Independent Dealer Bundle $200, Security Awareness Training $50, Technical Safeguards $18 per user per month. Identity verification and OFAC via partners (Gather, Aura). Not a law firm, by its own statement.

Automotive Compliance Education (ACE). Training and certification only, founded 2016, attorney-written, role-specific. Published prices: Compliance Officer $899, Automotive Compliance Specialist $799, F&I Specialist $799, Sales Management Specialist $699, Sales Specialist $299, with annual recertification fees. Covers Safeguards, OFAC, adverse action, ECOA, FCRA and Red Flags in the curriculum. No written program, risk assessment, verification or dashboard.

700Credit. Credit, compliance and identity verification for "over 20,000 dealerships." Red Flag ID in every pull, out-of-wallet questions, OFAC per transaction, adverse action and risk-based pricing notices, license authentication, synthetic-ID detection, a compliance dashboard, and a learning management system. Safeguards is training and webinars, not a written program. Quote only. December 2025 disclosure of a dealer-portal breach.

Dealertrack Compliance. For Dealertrack portal users: RedFlags identity score, OFAC, BorrowerCheck, license validation with selfie at a transaction fee, adverse action and risk-based pricing flags, ten-year storage. No Safeguards program or training. Its terms say RedFlags is not the entirety of a Red Flags program and that the customer alone verifies an OFAC match. Quote only.

Informativ (formerly Dealer Safeguard Solutions). Showroom compliance software: scans "over 250 ID and barcode formats," real-time identity verification in store and remote, Red Flags alerts, a digital deal jacket and audit trails, hard pulls only when the buyer commits. Written program, Qualified Individual, risk assessment and board report are not described. "One flat monthly rate," figure not published.

Helion Technologies. Managed IT for 2,000+ dealerships with Safeguards "Continuous Compliance" bundled: written-program updates, continuous risk assessment, vendor evaluation, pen test and vulnerability monitoring, MFA and encryption managed. No Red Flags or transaction tools. Quote only.

Lender portals. RouteOne offers its users a free OFAC check, free adverse-action notice generation and a compliance dashboard, plus paid identity verification; no Safeguards program.

How to read the table

Two patterns stand out. First, the vendors that run the Safeguards program and the vendors that verify identity on the deal are mostly different companies, which is why the suites refer the verification layer to a partner. Second, published pricing is rare: three of nine print a number. If you take one thing from the comparison, make it the question to ask every vendor, including us: what does it cost, in writing, and what does it say it does not do?
