Best compliance platforms for auto groups in 2026: how the options compare
Disclosure: DealSafe publishes this comparison and is one of the vendors in it. Facts about other vendors come from their own websites and announcements as of October 28, 2026, with sources listed at the end. If something is out of date, write to support@dealsafe.com and we will correct it.
In short: A group needs one standard across rooftops, one view of who is current, and an evidence file that holds up in buy-sell diligence. The platforms that sell to groups fall into four kinds: consultant-led programs, broad compliance suites, transaction tools that live inside the credit workflow, and managed-IT providers. Most are quote-only. Here is how they compare on the questions a group asks.
The five questions a group should ask
- Is pricing per rooftop, and is it published, so a controller can put a number next to each store before a sales call?
- Does the group get one set of policy templates and one dashboard showing which rooftops are current on training, risk assessment, vendor reviews and the annual report?
- Is identity verification on every deal part of the program, or a second vendor?
- Does the evidence export as a package when a rooftop is sold, audited or insured?
- Who does the work day to day: your staff, the vendor's consultants, or the software?
The vendors, by category
Consultant-led programs
KPA (Vera Suite). Founded 1986, Lafayette, Colorado; majority-owned by Providence Equity Partners since 2018; absorbed Automotive Compliance Consultants, Compli and ComplyNet. KPA's site says "15,000+ clients, including 40 of the top 50 automotive groups" and 150 in-house consultants. Its Privacy and Safeguards module (launched January 2024) describes a ten-step self-guided framework, customized policies, incident response plans, a board report generated "straight from the system," a vendor library of completed GLBA contracts, pen tests and phishing simulations, and "Multi-Rooftop Intelligence," a single real-time view across locations. Per-deal identity verification, OFAC and adverse action are delivered by 700Credit under a June 2025 referral partnership rather than inside Vera Suite. Pricing: quote only ("Book a demo. Get a custom quote"); third-party estimates range from "a few thousand dollars per year" to $400 to $900 per rooftop per month, none confirmed by KPA. Contract length: not published.
Mosaic Compliance Services. Founded 2006 by automotive attorneys, Clearwater, Florida; merged with gvo3 (auditing) in 2023 and announced a merger with AAMS Training in February 2026. Mosaic publishes prices: Administrative Safeguards $250 per store per month (service-provider management, risk assessments and action plans, executive reporting and written security programs, Qualified Individual training), Technical Safeguards $18 per user per month fully managed, AuditF&I Pro $300, and a Complete Compliance Bundle at $1,000 per store per month. Its site calls the platform "an excellent tool for being compliant with multiple stores" and offers a branded portal. Per-deal identity verification and OFAC are not offered natively; Mosaic partners with Gather and Aura for identity. Contract length: not published. Mosaic states it is not a law firm.
Broad compliance suites
ComplyAuto. Founded 2020, California, "by dealers, for dealers" and dealer-owned; sold through NADA's affinity program, AIADA and more than 40 state associations. Its site claims "10,000+ active dealers." The FTC Safeguards module describes an automated policy builder for the information security program, incident response plan and data retention policy, guided electronic risk assessments, security-awareness training, a vendor-management platform with e-signature, a breach-notification builder, and an annual board report "with the click of a button," plus pen testing, vulnerability scans, phishing simulations and MFA. DealCheck Ai audits deals in F&I for OFAC, Red Flags, valid ID, risk-based pricing and the privacy notice at "$0.10 per custom check," and a compliance score "ranks across all your stores." Identity verification on the deal comes through a January 2025 integration with Informativ. Pricing: quote only; the pricing pages were unavailable on the day. NADA members are offered "preferred pricing." Contract length: not published.
Transaction tools inside the credit workflow
700Credit. Founded 2000, Southfield, Michigan; "over 20,000 dealerships" per its site; 250+ integration partners. Red Flag ID runs in every credit pull, with out-of-wallet questions, OFAC per transaction, adverse action and risk-based pricing notices printed or mailed, driver's-license authentication, synthetic-ID detection and a compliance dashboard with "single and multi-rooftop views." Safeguards coverage is training and webinars, not a written program. Pricing: quote only. Note: 700Credit disclosed a breach of its dealer portal in December 2025 involving names, addresses and Social Security numbers copied between May and October 2025.
Dealertrack Compliance (Cox Automotive). A compliance layer for active Dealertrack portal users: DT RedFlags with an identity score and out-of-wallet questions, OFAC preliminary matching, BorrowerCheck from Point Predictive for synthetic ID and income, driver's-license validation with selfie check at a transaction fee, adverse action and risk-based pricing flags with an optional mailing service, ten-year document storage, and "reporting by dealer, user, and multi-store enterprise." No Safeguards program, training or board report. Its additional terms state that DT RedFlags "will not constitute the entirety of Customer's Red Flags Program." Pricing: quote only, with transaction fees.
Managed-IT providers
Helion Technologies. Founded 1997, Maryland; "2,000+ dealerships under management"; serves automotive and heavy-truck dealers only. Bundles "Continuous Compliance" with managed IT: ongoing written-program updates, continuous risk assessment, vendor security evaluation, an annual human penetration test, semi-annual vulnerability monitoring, MFA and encryption as managed controls. No Red Flags, OFAC, adverse action or intake. Pricing: quote only.
Proton Dealership IT (Reynolds and Reynolds). Acquired by Reynolds in July 2022; 400+ dealership clients. Offers templates for an information security program, risk assessment, incident response plan and executive report alongside its managed security services. No Red Flags or transaction tools. Pricing: quote only.
Purpose-built dealer compliance program
DealSafe (The Group). Published pricing of $999 per rooftop per month, no setup fee, a 12-month agreement billed monthly. Every rooftop runs the full program: the written Safeguards program with Qualified Individual support, risk assessment, role-based training assigned at hire and logged, vendor register, incident response plan and annual board report; QR customer intake with per-deal identity verification before funding; Red Flags screening on every deal with OFAC on demand; PII locked to general managers and finance managers with every access logged. The Group adds group-wide policy templates, a group dashboard across rooftops, a buy-sell diligence package and a named program manager with priority support including Saturdays. Credit runs through the dealer's own 700Credit account at launch; lender packages go to DealerTrack and RouteOne, with CUDL to follow. DealSafe never connects to the dealer's DMS, is not a law firm, not an IT provider and not a credit bureau or lender. It runs on the founder's own rooftops at Tyrrell Auto Centers, Wyoming's oldest dealership group.

What the comparison says
Only two of the eight publish a price. Most groups will end up with two or three of these vendors unless they choose a program that covers the Safeguards work and the per-deal verification in one place, and the question to settle first is which of the five above matters most at your group. For a group that already has a managed-IT provider and a consultant relationship, the gap is usually the evidence file and the per-deal check. For a group starting from binders, it is all five.
